2) Direction of Spiral Bevel Gear

a) Right hand

Right hand spiral bevel gear is one in which the outer half of a tooth is inclined in the clockwise direction.

b) Left hand

Left hand spiral bevel gear is one in which the outer half of a tooth is inclined in the counterclockwise direction.
